Bumpdate - 39 Weeks

How far along?  39 weeks and 1 day - baby is full term and fully cooked at this time!

Baby is the size of? A small watermelon.  Baby weighs a bit over 7 pounds and is about 20 inches long from head to heel.

Total weight loss/gain? I think I was 175 at the doctors visit today so that means gained 47 pounds.  WOW.

Maternity Clothes? Yes, only dresses and dad's big T-shirts are what I am comfortable wearing.

Stretch Marks?  I started to notice some light red marks on my tummy.  I really hope they are not stretch marks and that they go away.

Sleep? I am up about every two hours to pee and flip sides.

Best moment of this week?  Reaching 39 weeks.  So blessed baby is full term.  Just hoping baby holds off ONE more night until grandma and grandpa get here to stay with Harrison.

Worst moment of this week? Felt really tired and sore on Mother's Day.  I had a lazy day and that made me feel a little guilty but it also felt really good to rest.

Miss Anything?  Drinking something else other than water.  I am so sick of water.

Movement?  Lots of movement, mostly after Harrison goes to bed and I finally sit down to relax.

Food Cravings? Nothing really.

Anything make you queasy or sick?  I threw up my breakfast and coffee this morning.  It was nasty.

Symptoms?  Tired, sore, crampy, heartburn

Have you started to show yet?  Ha!  If I hadn't at this point I'd be concerned.

Gender Predictions? I think a boy.  Harrison and Dad think a girl.

Labor signs?  Lots of pressure in lower abdomen, lots of Braxton hicks.

Belly Button in or out?
Pretty much out

Exercise? Nope

Happy or Moody most of the time?  Still pretty happy.

Looking forward to? Meeting baby on Thursday.  Finding out the gender of baby, naming the baby and showing him or her off to all our friends.

Any irrational worries?  Birth defects, delivery complications, painful incision, etc.

Bumpdate - 38 Weeks

How far along?  38 Weeks

Baby is the size of? The length of a leek.  Baby is 19.5 inches long and weighs about 7 pounds.

Total weight loss/gain?  I was 173 pounds at the doctors yesterday so total weight gain is 45 pounds, yikes!

Maternity Clothes?  Yes that is all I can wear.

Stretch Marks?  No, but lots of blue veins on my stomach.

Sleep? Not as great.  I toss and turn a lot and get up to pee.  Last night I slept on the couch and it felt good for the back support.  Getting up after laying down is quite painful.  I think baby dropped as I have a lot of pressure in my lower abdomen.

Best moment of this week? Had my doctors appointment yesterday and all was good.  I am 1 cm. dilated and 50% effaced.  I measured 39 cm so was measuring one cm ahead.  Harrison said to me last night "Mommy, your tummy is full" and put his head on my stomach as if to say "its eviction time baby!"  He did the same thing again today.  It was too cute.

Also, my moms group friends threw me a little sprinkle for baby Kalnas.  It was perfect and relaxing and everyone enjoyed themselves.  I had a wonderful day with friends and baby K was sprinkled with love.

Worst moment of this week?
Just tired and ready to be done but still feel like I have so much to do.  Every time I cross something off my to-do list I feel like I add three more things.  I still need to pack my hospital bag.  I started to get it ready today.  I was really struggling on what to bring as with Harrison I packed all these "cute outfits" and have no idea what the hec I was thinking.  I pretty much stayed in my hospital gown the whole time looking homeless.  Harrison and I went to Ross today and I bought a cute bathrobe and a few light nightgowns, figured those would be easy and comfy with my incision.  I also bought a light PJ set.  I am not going to over pack this time.

Miss Anything? Soft drinks, I am so sick of drinking water.  I started drinking flavored seltzer here and there and it tastes so good.

Movement?  I think space is getting tight.  I feel hard jabs here and there and feel feet or hands but not as much as before.

Food Cravings?  Nothing really, lots of food aversions and smells make me gag and throw up.

Anything make you queasy or sick? Eggs, chicken, the smell of garlic, coffee.

Symptoms?  Exhausted, tired feet and ankles, lots of Braxton hicks.

Have you started to show yet?  Oh yes, I look huge in these pictures and I also look tired and awful.  It was after a long day.

Gender Predictions?  I think a boy.  Harrison and dad think a girl.  I asked Harrison twice today and he said girl hands down both times.  He is so matter of fact.

Labor signs? Lots of Braxton hicks, I am one cm dilated.

Belly Button in or out?  Pretty much all out now.

Exercise?  Ha NO.

Happy or Moody most of the time? Pretty happy. I cried today because I feel like my house is just always a disaster zone.  We have nothing nice anymore and toys everywhere.

Looking forward to?  Getting this baby out and meeting him or her.

Any irrational worries?  Complications during delivery, I just want a healthy mom and baby!

Bumpdate - 37 Weeks

How far along?  37 Weeks. We will be meeting baby in 2.5 weeks if not sooner, but I can definitely wait the 2.5 weeks.

Baby is the size of? About the length of a bunch of swiss chard. Baby measures about 19 inches long and weighs about 6 1/3 pounds.

Total weight loss/gain? Gained 41 pounds

Maternity Clothes?  Yes

Stretch Marks?  None so far but noticed some red marks on my stomach this morning hopefully it was just from me scratching or how I was sleeping.

Sleep? Not great.  Toss and turn and pee a lot.  Heartburn is pretty bad at night.  Sometimes I cough so hard I feel weak or like I'm going to throw up.

Best moment of this week?  Had doctors apt this morning.  All was good.  Was a little protein in my urine but my BP was fine.  Doctor said sometimes normal when apt is first thing in the morning since I've been laying down all night and my body hasn't had time to flush it out yet.

Worst moment of this week?  Pure exhaustion.  Not wanting to do anything but have so much to do.  Just want to lay on the couch and watch movies.

Miss Anything?  My energy and wanting to do things.  Its getting hot outside so going outside with Harrison to play is tough for long periods of time.

Movement?  Movement has been off and on.  Just when I get nervous that I haven't felt any kicks in a little bit, baby starts kicking.

Food Cravings?  Milk and milkshakes

Anything make you queasy or sick?  Something made me throw up my breakfast yesterday, I think it was the smell of Harrison's banana when he handed me the banana peel when he was done.

Symptoms?  Tired, heartburn like crazy, I have had a terrible migrane headache since last night and it wont go away today.

Have you started to show yet?  Oh yea!

Gender Predictions?  I still think a boy since this baby has kicked a lot the entire pregnancy.

Labor signs?  Braxton hicks and painful when baby moves a lot.  I can feel and see feet coming through my stomach.  Its so creepy!

Belly Button in or out?  Still half in half out.

Exercise? Ha No.  Bending over to pick up toys just about kills me.

Happy or Moody most of the time?
Still pretty happy, just want to rest a lot and put my feet up.

Looking forward to?  Finding out what the gender of this baby is!!!

Any irrational worries? Same old same old. Delivery complications, recovery after C-section, managing two little ones and a crazy dog!

36 Week Baby Comparison

I like to do side by side comparisons of my two pregnancies.

Both 36 weeks here:

Pregnant with Harrison on the left.  I definitely look more wide with this pregnancy than I did with Harrison.

Pregnant with Harrison on the left, this pregnancy on the right.
Pregnant with Harrison on the left and this pregnancy on the right.
Both Pregnancies have been similar.  What do you think, am I carrying different?

Bumpdate - 36 Weeks

How far along?  36 weeks and 2 days.

Baby is the size of? A head of romaine lettuce.  Baby weighs about 6 pounds and is about 18.5 inches long.  At this time baby is packing on the weight, about an ounce a day!

Total weight loss/gain? Didn't weigh myself this week and forgot what it was at the doctors.

Maternity Clothes?  Yes pretty much only wear my maternity dresses, they are the most comfortable.

Stretch Marks?
None so far!  Yea!

Sleep? Sleep is getting tough.  I get up to pee a lot and flip sides.  Last night I was having a lot of Braxton hicks contractions and thought for sure we would need to head to the hospital.

Best moment of this week?  36 week doctors appointment was great.  Had a routine hemoglobin test for 36 weeks and doctor said mine was at a 12 which was very high and very good, means I am not anemic.  BP was great, urine was fine, weight was good.  I felt great after the appointment.

Worst moment of this week?  We got a lot done this weekend but still feel like there is so much more to do.  My washing machine has been going non-stop for three days, washing all the baby clothes, baby toys, all our usual laundry, etc.  Still have more to go.  I was also upset when I was going through all the baby clothes I had stored in boxes in our spare closet and a lot of them had yellow stains.  The next day I laid them all outside on a sheet in the sun and then washed them and good as new. :)

Miss Anything? Being able to bend down and pick things up.  Cleaning up after Harrison and Clancy on the daily is quite tough!

Movement?  The last few days I hadn't felt as much movement as usual, a little here and there so I was getting worried.  Tonight as I was reading Harrison books in bed I could feel baby kicking and moving a lot.  Definitely feel better now.

Food Cravings?  Milk and milkshakes

Anything make you queasy or sick? Eggs and chicken

Symptoms?  Tired but not as tired as before.  I have been taking little cat naps here and there if I get lucky and Harrison naps.  Still major heart burn.  Braxton hicks all last night and today.

Have you started to show yet?
Absolutely!

I look huge from the front view

Gender Predictions?  I think a boy.  I went out today to buy some gender neutral sleeper suits for the hospital.  I saw the cutest little girl outfits so I bought one for a girl and then a cute one for a boy and then a gender neutral one.  They were too cute to pass up.  Harrison is certain its a girl, when shopping for clothes today I said should we look at the girl or boy clothes and he said "Only girls".  His intuition is on point lately.

Labor signs?  All the Braxton hicks contractions the last two days.  Praying baby does not come early but it has me thinking he or she will arrive early.

Belly Button in or out?
Pretty much out but not as bad as some outties I have seen.

Exercise? Chasing and playing with Harrison.

Happy or Moody most of the time? Still pretty happy.

Looking forward to? Meeting this baby and announcing his or her arrival to our friends and family.

Any irrational worries?  C-section complications, Harrison wanting to climb or jump on me after my surgery, two babies screaming/crying at the same time.

Bumpdate - 35 Weeks

How far along? 35.4 weeks - a little late with this post.

Baby is the size of?  A honeydew melon.  Baby weighs about 5 1/4 lbs and is measuring about 18 inches from head to foot.

Total weight loss/gain?
Did not weigh in this week on my own and can't remember what it was at the doctors office.

Maternity Clothes?
Oh yea

Stretch Marks?
Not yet but started getting very itchy this week.

Sleep?
Sleep has not been going well this week.  I switch positions a lot and get up to pee a lot.  Every  time I pee I try to take a sip of water to stay hydrated throughout the night.  The weight of baby is also hard to get my stomach comfortable while sleeping.

Best moment of this week?
Going to the doctors on Monday, hearing the heartbeat.  Talking to doctor about my C-section..we are getting close.  4 weeks from yesterday!!!!  OMG!

Worst moment of this week?
Feeling tired, not wanting to move, swelling in my feet and ankles and hurting to walk.  Just feels really tight and swollen.

Miss Anything?
Having a beer with friends.

Movement?
Lots of movement.  Baby is still very active.  I can always feel body parts through my stomach.  Harrison loves to feel them too.

Food Cravings? Nothing really.  Still don't have a huge appetite.  Threw up my breakfast and coffee yesterday while brushing my teeth.  It was nasty.

Anything make you queasy or sick?  Eggs, chicken, anything with protein, go figure!

Symptoms?
Real tired, swollen feet, ankles, fingers, and wrists.

Have you started to show yet?
Ha!  Yes, although everyone says I still look so small.  I was so huge with Harrison at this point.

Gender Predictions?
I think a boy, most are saying a boy so that means its probably a girl.

Labor signs?
Nothing yet.  Not as many Braxton hicks but hurts when baby moves around.  Space is getting tight!

Belly Button in or out?
Still half in and half out.

Exercise?
Mild walking but that about kills me.

Happy or Moody most of the time?
  Still pretty happy.

Looking forward to?
Meeting this beautiful baby!!!

Any irrational worries?
Recovery after the C-section.  Sleep deprivation after baby comes.  Afraid we will starve after baby comes if I don't want to lug two kids out to the grocery store.

Maternity Pillow

As promised pictures of Harrison and Clancy using my maternity pillow.

I came out of the shower the other day to find them sharing the pillow.

Apparently Clancy was feeling the maternity pains too
and needed the pillow and the heating pad.

This morning Harrison was playing hide and go seek in the pillow.  I wrapped him up in it like a swirl and it reminded me of the poop emoji.
