Weekend Update

Dear Second Baby,

I am sad that I don't have more time to blog to you more often than the weekly bump-dates.  Things just get so crazy busy that I forget and by the time I remember another week has gone by and its time for the weekly bump-date.

Thursday morning I had my genetic screening done at the doctors office where they took a few vials of blood and test for some of the main genetic disorders.  I did not have this test done with Harrison but it is something they recommend (and scare you into) once you are over the age of 35.  We also could have found out your gender and it about killed me to tell the nurse not to check the box to include that on the report.  I want to know so bad but I kind of don't!

Pictures of me before the appointment on Thursday

We have had a busy weekend so far.  Last night was the Stuart Christmas parade and it was so awesome.  Harrison had so much fun running around with the other kids before the parade and then once Daddy met us we all sat down and watched the parade.  He was in awe of all the floats and even lasted the two hours until Santa was the last float at 9 PM.  He fell asleep in the car as we were waiting to get out of the parking lot and when I got him out at home he was still clutching his lollipop and tootsie roll in his hand that he had gotten at the parade.

Harrison loved waving at everyone participating in the parade

This morning we woke up early and met some friends for breakfast with Santa.  We waited in line to see Santa and then as soon as it was our turn Harrison got so scared and started crying.  The photographer said she wished I could see the picture now as it was the best one she had taken all day.  I can't wait until that arrives in the mail.  After we saw Santa I took him to the park to run around and then it was still early so I took him to a store to get some more little trees to finish off my Christmas decorations.  Well the little stinker was falling asleep in the cart!  He has never ever done that before so I rushed to pay and leave and he slept the whole car ride home and then another 2 hours inside on my bed.  I guess all the festivities finally caught up to him.

I am loving all the Christmas cheer and we are definitely in full spirit here.  We have Hank the elf here watching so Harrison is trying to be on his best behavior for Santa.  We can't wait until you can join in on the crazy!

Can't wait to meet you,

Love Mommy
