Last week we had our 20 week anatomy ultrasound. It was so exciting to see how far you have already developed but so crazy to know that you are still so small, only about half a pound! So tiny! During the scan the ultrasound tech was very thorough and examined all of your anatomy, organs, etc. and took measurements of you. She explained to me each and every body part that she was looking at. I saw your little arms and legs and you were all scrunched up like a little turkey. The ultrasound tech said you were still measuring one week smaller than my due date. After the ultrasound I was scheduled to meet with the doctor and while I was being escorted to the exam room I overheard the tech bring the doctor up to speed on my ultrasound. I heard her say "the anatomy all looks good but the head is measuring a little small." Of course once I was in the exam room and hearing that your head was a little small I immediately took to Google because I started freaking about Zika. That is one of the birth defects associated with it. But once the doctor entered the room she assured me there was nothing to worry about and that they were just being nit-picky with my due date because I would be a scheduled C-section. That helped put my mind at ease.
Once I was home I immediately made some hard boiled eggs and ever since I have been more conscience with my food choices in hopes to help you catch up in weight!
Here are pictures of you from the ultrasound.
I think those are your feet sticking up above your chest.
You are so beautiful already. We can't wait to meet you.
Love Mommy
So exciting!!
